Apache warrior Night Wind abducts Spanish Orlena to punish her stepfather Conal Quinn, the cruel governor of New Spain.

Love blossoms between the two and they marry, but pregnant Orlena is recaptured by her stepfather to bait Night Wind. Misunderstandings and pain keep them apart (Night Wind is tortured and blames Orlena. She miscarries and blames him) and Orlena's stepfather and her brother try to destroy her loved one.
