“From Communism to Capitalism” is not an economic or a political tome. Rather it is a very enjoyable and engrossing tale of an American “volunteer executive” who went to several former Communist countries to help entrepreneurs, corporations, charitable organizations, and government agencies make the difficult transition from their old centrally controlled systems to the competitive free market environment.
The author tells, in a humorous and self-effacing way, how he found unorthodox ways to increase sales and profits without spending money and without firing employees. A fun and enlightening read. | ||
