Book Review By Tanya
Life & Liberty by Adam Rutledge

The series centers on how Daniel and his brother Quincy who are in Boston are drawn into the American Revolution in the early days along with the secondary characters of Roxanne, cousin Elliot and Murdock.

This story starts out with Roxanne and Daniel being reunited outside of Concord, in a safe farmhouse. Roxanne has been busy spying and Daniel has been part of the Battle of Ticonderoga. But, before long Daniel is attacked by British officers, is left for dead and Roxanne is captured by the British.

The story then follows the following 4 paths:
-First, you follow Roxanne and her imprisonment, including what turns out to be her "secret" imprisonment. In addition she is told Daniel is dead.

-Second you follow Daniel and his pursuit for Roxanne's whereabouts as well as his secret Missions for the new War Department, to gain the upper hand in the war of Independence.

-Third, Cousin Elliot and his continual struggle to stay safe while spying for the Americans, all the while pretending to be sympathetic to the Crown.

-Finally to the trek of Quincy and Murdock through the American Eastern Wilderness.

As this is part of a series the book does not come to a final complete end, as it is setting the stage for the 5th and finally the 6th book.
