Rachel Walsh is Irish by birth, but she has been living and working in New York City for the past eight years. When her sister Maggie and her brother in law arrive at her appartement, she is horrified to learn that it is because her best friend has called her family to tell them that she has a drug problem. Maggie and her husband plan to take her back home and put her in a rehab. To add indulat to injury, Rachel's boyfriend, Luke, seems to agree with all the others about her drug probles, and breaks up with her. Rachel returns to Ireland when she learns that she will be put in a rehab facility for the rich and famous. However, she soon discovers that The Cloisters is not the luxury spa that she was expecting. But she soon learns that she isn't who she thought she was either.
