| Chastity Duncan runs a secret matchmaking company with her sisters in Victorian England. They talk with clients through notes and a newspaper “The Mayfair Lady” that they use to promote independence of women and matchmaking. Dr. Douglas Farrell has decided to seek their services to obtain a wife.
He as 2 requirements. She must be wealthy; to help set his business up. She must be able to bring in business for him Chastity is so taken aback by his demeanor that she decided that they won't take him as a client. She is talked out of it by her sisters. Her sisters are amazed, as Chas loves everyone. But at the same time as he is being set up he is drawn to the mysterious Chastity. They get together during a Christmas house party but Douglas leaves when he figures out that Chastity is one of the people who had been setting him up. He feels like he is played for a fool. | ||
