Book Review By Rina Hall
Lady Sophia's Lover by Lisa Kleypas

Lady Sophia Sydney applied as assistant to the office of Chief Magistrate Sir Ross Cannon to set in motion her plans to avenge the death of her brother, John. She wants to seduce the so-called "Monk of Bow Street," and ruin his reputation as payment for what happened to her lost brother. Sir Ross Cannon hired Sophia because she immediately awakened feelings in him that he thought long dormant; but he was also curious as to why a beautiful young lady like Sophia is willing to work as assistant and housekeeper in his office and household.

Sophia did not expect that Sir Ross Cannon is not the man she envisioned him to be. The "Monk of Bow Street" is not the cold, unfeeling magistrate that sent her brother to prison; instead Ross is kind, sensitive, and fair, a man of simmering passion who made her feel loved and protected. Now, Sophia is having doubts whether Sir Ross deserves punishment but how could she let her brother's death go unjustified?
