Simon Hughes is an average professional cricketer who is below average at attracting women. Fed up with cold, dark English winters he decides to travel the world, using his profession as a means of earning money while there and comparing the characteristics and most importantly women of every country he visits.
Like the cricket though, his success with women is patchy. In South Africa he meets a girl with interesting ideas on genetics who wants to use him as a guinea pig! The book is mostly humorous but Hughes doesn't shy away from criticizing some of the countries he visits, especially South Africa at the height of apartheid. He is appalled at the way black people are treated by some of his team mates. | ||
