Book Review By Debbie
Canis Royal: Bridefight by MaryJanice Davidson

Lois Commoner has had it! Ever since she injured her knee in the line of duty, she has been unable to do anything because of the throbbing pain - not even sleep! Stuck on desk duty for the rest of her career with no friends and no family, Lois doesn't see the point in trying anymore so she overdoses on pills and floats off into sleep...only she wakes up again - in the SandLands - with a talking puma.

Lois's knee doesn't hurt for the first time in months, but then the puma transforms into a man and Lois freaks out. When she calms down again, she discovers that she has met Prince Damon, heir to the throne and eldest son of King Sekar. Damon seems quite taken with her, though Lois has no idea why as she is far from beautiful, but she soon discovers that the people of the SandLands have a much different idea of beauty than people on Earth do. For instance, she is the only one with black, curly hair and her many scars are greatly admired.

Unsure what is going on, but trying to go with the flow, Lois soon finds herself sharing a communal bath with Prince Damon and then letting him tuck her into bed that night. Despite giving her one of the most explosive climaxes she's ever known, Lois isn't sure if she wants to stay in Castle Royale, but doesn't really know where else to go. When she is invited to a special festival the next day, Lois is appalled to find out that it is the bride fight, where all the eligible males fight for a mate - and Lois is the grand prize...
