In this fourth book in the series, Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic waitress, ends up with an unwanted houseguest. Driving home from work one night she sees a man running in the woods, it turns out to be Eric Northman, the vampire Sheriff of Area 5. He is half-naked, feezing, and cannot remember her. Sookie takes him home and contacts his partners who inform her that witches have cursed Eric and have put up a reward poster for anyone who has seen him. They want him dead so they can take over his business, money and assets.
Well, not only does Eric not remember Sookie, but he doesn't remember himself, and Sookie has a hard time resisting someone who needs her. The Werewolves, new shapeshifters, and some witches become involved to help out and keep the other witches out of their territory. | ||
