Book Review By Richard O. Mann
Cold Trail by Ruth Birmingham

Sunny Childs, an Atlanta private investigator, goes to high-class hunting resort for rich women to investigate the not-too-recent murder of one of its members. Undercover as a rich wife (to qualify for membership), she sees a series of unusual activities that culminate in another murder of a member. She follows a suspect to a seedy warehouse and witnesses a drug transfer, only to be spotted and captured. She escapes, fleeing into a busload of gospel-singing black folks for safety. Eventually, she discovers the identity of the killer and the explanations of all the strange events she has lived through.
