Book Review By Steph
Mary Queen of Scots and Her Hopeless Husbands by Margaret Simpson

This book is part of the "Dead Famous" series.

This is a humorous biography of Mary, Queen of Scots. It is told partly through cartoons, partly through Mary's fictionalized "diary," and partly through fictionalized newspaper articles of the period.

Mary was raised in France, and sent to Scotland at the age of 18. Unfamiliar with Scottish politics, she tried to establish a cordial relationship with her cousin, Queen Elizabeth I, and be named her heir. Famous for her tragic end, she was imprisoned and eventually executed by Elizabeth.
