Danny Saunders is the brilliant son of an ultra orthodox Chasidic Rabbi. He is being trained to take over for his father. He becomes friends with Reuven Malter, the son of an Orthodox Jew, but from a more liberal tradition. As the boys become friendlier Danny reveals that he is interested in learning about the larger world, that he is not content with remaining in the Chasidic community. He is faced with the prospect of telling his father that he doesn't want to be a Rabbi, but wants instead to work in the secular world and go to college to study psychology. | ||
