Book Review By Steph
Dear Lola by Judie Angell

A group of six orphans become like a family at the orphanage where they all grew up. The story is narrated by Annie, the only girl in the family. The other children include Annie's twin brother, and Arthur ("Lola"), who writes a nationally syndicated advice column.

Afraid of being separated, the kids run away from the orphanage and move into a house on their own. They tell anyone who asks that their grandfather is taking care of them, but neighbors and authorities become suspicious that they have never seen this "grandfather." The kids struggle to keep their secret and fit in at school and in the community.
