An indian village is attacked by traders who they've allowed to hunt seal on their island. All but a young girl and her brother are either killed or taken as slaves. The young boy dies within the year and the girl is left to learn how to provide for herself. She lives alone on the island for nearly 15 years. Based on a true story.
