Book Review By Susanna Marlowe
My Name is Bill W. by Susan Cheever

This is a biography of Bill Wilson, the founder of Alcoholics Anonymous. It traces both Bill's family history of alcoholism, how he became an alcoholic, and how he stopped drinking. It then shows how he developed the philosophy underpinning the Alcoholics Anonymous organization. It also talks about his marriage and how his wife stood by him. It is an inspiring book for recovering alcoholics and their families and friends. However, it may be a bit boring to other people.
