Bill Clinton's impeachment and subsequent acquittal by the U.S. Senate is now history. But he remains a controversial figure and in this book, written just prior to the impeachment proceedings, conservative author Ann Coulter presents the case for impeachment in clear legal and historical terms.

Drawing heavily on the report prepared by Representative Peter Rodino's House Judiciary Committee for the impeachment proceedings against President Nixon, she explains why impeachment, in both the American and British traditions, does not require a criminal offense. Ironically, Hillary Rodham Clinton was one of the authors of this Rodino Committee Report . Citing precedents and traditions going all the way back to fourteenth century England, the Rodino Committee Report's authors made it clear that officials can be impeached without having committed any criminal offenses. Citing the founding fathers, many of whom were authors of the Constitution, it is clear that their reason for including impeachment in the Constitution was to ensure that the President and other federal officials met and maintained the higher standard of personal virtue rather than the lower standard of simply obeying the law.

After explaining the impeachment process and its roots, Coulter goes on to build a strong case for the impeachment and removal of Clinton by using the same standards put forward by Hillary Rodham Clinton and other authors of the Rodino Committee Report in their case against Nixon.
