Book Review By Melissa Cookson
A Wizard Alone - Young Wizards 6 by Diane Duane

Kit and Nita, two young wizards, are the main characters in this book, which is the sixth in the Young Wizards Series. Kit is given the task of finding out why Darryl, a wizard in training, is taking so long to complete his Ordeal. Darryl's Ordeal takes place in his mind, so Kit has to join him there and hope that there's something he can do that won't cause Darryl to fail his Ordeal. Kit's best friend, Nita, would be a great deal of help, but she's still dealing with the recent death of her mother. However, Nita also has to deal with a possible alien that is entering her dreams and asking for her help. In order to help it, Nita has to learn how to get beyond her grief for her mother. She has to learn fast, too, because Kit needs her help if he is to survive his attempts to help Darryl.
