Book Review By ldpaulson
The Hornet's Nest by Jimmy Carter

Written by former President Jimmy Carter, this novel details the events that precipitated and happened in the Revolutionary War. Carter has chosen specifically to concentrate on The Carolinas and Georgia. These are geographic regions typically not discussed in the context of this conflict. The book begins in about 1793 in the Carolinas and follows two Georgia homesteading families who find themselves in the midst of the Revolution. This book is very interesting and informative, packed with lots of detail about political sentiments, the land, the customs and lives of both the homesteaders and the natives.
