At the time he had no idea that this would be the signs of a horrible debilating disease, one that would appear while he was one of the top actors in Hollywood. For eight years he kept this condition away from the press, away from the world in September 1998 he annoucnes to the world that he has Parkinson's which stuns the world, and mental support and words of encouragement come from all over the world. By that time he had accepted the diagnosis and refused to let it stop him from living his life.
