Experienced crime writer Jim Qwilleran is less than happy to be assigned to produce a weekly magazine on interior design. He perks up when a house written up in the first issue is burglarized and the owner's wife dies, apparently of heart attack. Qwill starts to suspect the city's other newspaper of playing dirty when the house in the second issue turns out to be not exactly what the owner claimed it was, and decides to find out for sure. His cat, Koko is showing strange behaviour, and his charming interior designer neighbour isn't all he appears to be. Soon enough, Qwill and Koko are investigating a murder and a theft that may not be a theft at all.
This is the second book in the Cat Who series. | ||
