When Jim Qwilleran is asked to use his wealth and influence to help save and restore an old historical apartment building in the city, he readily accepts. In order to check out the place, he moves in with his two clever cats, who immediately start behaving strangely. Fixing up the building looks like it will be a major project, and it's not helping that the owner, a sweet old lady, is living in the past and doesn't understand what's going on. Qwilleran scents trouble when he finds out that the woman who started the organization that wants to save the building was murdered in his apartment, and Koko the cat is clearly trying to tell him something. It takes a lot of detective work and some hints from Koko before Qwilleran can solve the mystery. | ||
