| More than just another politician, Donald Rumsfeld has been a renaissance man in service of the United States for the past 50+ years. It is easy to dismiss his conservative politics and think him one dimensional but that would miss the amazing variety of roles he has served in the past 6 decades.

He was the youngest Secretary of Defense when appointed in 1975 and returned to that post in 2001. Outside of his public service with a dozen or more offices held through various presidential terms, he has been in leadership positions in the private sector with a number of companies. His combination of military training, political experience and business accumen may cause the reader to wonder why he is not currently sitting in the White House.
