Murder Stalks a Mansion by Anne-Marie Sutton

A recently-widowed young woman opens her late husband's Newport, RI mansion as an expensive inn. The Inn at Kenwood becomes a murder scene while the wealthy Hargreave family is celebrating a family anniversary. As with an Agatha Christie type mystery, everyone is a suspect, and red herrings are everywhere. The inn-keeper, an attractive young woman, has to cope with her Inn getting unwanted publicity, a recalcitrant housekeeper, and a well-meaning but delicate mother-in-law. She doesn't believe the family member arrested initially is the murderer and probes the clues, while Lt. Nightingale of the Newport police doesn't want her assistance. He is, however, sympathetic to her situation...and finds himself attracted to her.
