Sparks fly when Lord Simon Cartwright first meets Lady Samantha Adamson, and subsequent meetings only make their animosity greater. The stuffy lord can not understand how any lady can behave with such utter insensibility to propriety and common sense as he does, and she can barely restrain herself whenever the arrogant and stuffy lord begins to berate her for her behaviour.
