Book Review By Dave Wood
The Great Hunt - Wheel of Time 2 by Robert Jordan

The second installment of the Wheel of Time series finds Rand al Thor struggling with the knowledge that he can channel the One Power - a sign of impending insanity, and a portent that he could be the fabled Dragon Reborn, who will break the world, but save a remnant. Threatened by Darkfriends and the minions of the Dark One, Rand and the Ogier Loial are soon swept up in the hunt for the Horn of Valere, which will call the dead heroes back for the last battle. Meanwhile, Egwene and Nynaeve are taken to the White Tower, to train to be Aes Sedai. Things are not all that they seem in the Tower, with factions at odds with one another, and intrigue at every turn. Meanwhile, a new threat is brewing, as the Seanchan, the descendants of Artur Hawkwing, return to conquer their ancestral lands.
