| Princess Alesandra is an orphan and knows that only a quick marriage to an Englishman is the solution to her problems. Being a princess, there are those in her own country who wish to marry her to rise up on the political ladder. Colin, the Marquess of Cainewood's younger brother, becomes Alesandra's guardian as she is swept up in London society.
