Blackstone's Bride by Bronwyn Williams

After being branded and run out of town, Jed Blackstone, finally has a chance to get back at his attacker. If he manages to get back home in time, with the money he's won in a recent poker game, he could save his brothers' farm from his enemy's clutches. But on his way home he gets brutally assaulted by a band of hillbillies and finds himself forced into hiding in Eleanor Millers' home, while he recovers. Widowed and being held captive by her hillbilly in-laws, Eleanor is desperate to escape, so after nursing Jeb back to health she convinces him to help her get away. Their relationship quickly goes from that of nurse and patient to lovers but will their love sustain once the danger has passed and can Jeb get home in time to save his brothers' home?
