The School Story is a book about a young girl named Natalie who wants to pursue a career as a writer, but she feels that no one would listen to her if they found out how young she really is. Natalie goes under the pseudonym of Cassandra Day and she sends her book to a publishing company. To speed the process up, she "cheats" by handing a yellow manilla envelope with the story inside to her mom, who is an editor, and says that it was recommended that she read this right away. Her mom tells her that it is a wonderful book. This book eventually gets published with the help of her seventh grade English teacher. | ||
