Fear of Frying by Jill Churchill

Jane Jeffry, a widowed housewife, and her neighbor, Shelley, go to a resort camp in the mountains as part of a committee that goes to investigate whether or not the school should send their kids to camp there. When the ladies go back to a campfire the ladies find a fellow committee member's body, but when they go back with police, the body's gone. The supposed dead man is seen alive later that night, so nobody believes the ladies about the body, at first. Then, the sheriff discovers the body, finds that the dead man had a twin brother, and finds the twin murdered as well. The ladies help the sheriff figure out who the killer is.
