Book Review By Newt
The Pleasure of My Company by Steve Martin

"The Pleasure Of My Company" is a story about Daniel Pecan Cambridge who has Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and is mentally adept at magic squares and other such mathematical oddities. He has three main people in his life as the book starts: Clarissa, his “therapist” who comes to his apartment twice a week; Zandy the pharmacist; and Elizabeth the realtor that he has an infatuation with. By the end of the book, he is beginning to overcome his fears and has hatched from his egg and has a circle of friends. This book shows the kindness, gentleness, thoughtfulness, and normalness of Daniel Pecan Cambridge even with his strange quirks.
