| The Dempsey sisters, Sophie and Amy, come to Temptation, Ohio, to film an art film on the aging film star, Clea Whipple. Temptation is a small town where, as the welcome sign says, the citizens "believe in family values." As they arrive into town, the Dempseys have an auto accident with a member of the town council. The mayor, Phin Tucker, and the police chief, Wes Mazur, come to investigate the crash and quickly Sophie and Phin fall for each other.
The town, not trusting the Dempseys, passes an anti-porn ordinance, and it is up to Phin to enforce the new law. Sophie, however, insists that she and Amy are not making porn, though the art film they are making begins more and more to resemble porn as Sophie uses her own sexual experiences with Phin as a template for the movie. When Clea's irate ex-husband arrives in town he is quickly murdered. No one knows who the murderer is, though many suspect the Dempseys. But then Sophie herself becomes the target of the murderer. Phin is caught between his feelings for Sophie, with whom he is having "headbanging sex," and his duties as mayor. | ||
