How I Survived Being A Girl is a story about a young girl named Jane who has always been best friends with a guy named Charlie. But when they enter middle school at sixth grade, everything changes. Jane finds out that being best friends with a guy is not acceptable to middle school society. But she doesn't want to become friends with prissy girls. Through many hilarious events, she comes to realize that girls are not all that bad.
