Book Review By David Fletcher
Growing Up Brady: I Was A Teenage Greg by Barry Williams

Growing Up Brady: I Was A Teenage Greg by Barry Williams is the funny behind the scenes story of the hit 70's television series The Brady Bunch. Born in 1954, Barry grew up as a California kid in Santa Monica who caught the acting bug early. He recalls early acting roles, the thrill of celebrity stardom, the grinding pace of a series and all of the accompanying television movies and specials, the romances, and the pettiness. Starting in 1969, he and the other actors Florence Henderson, the late Robert Reed, Christopher Knight, Eve Plumb, Maureen McCormack, et al, got along with one another often beyond friendship. He mentions his date with his television mother, being drunk on the set, smoking pot, and making out with Maureen (his costars all hooked up with their counterparts as well). It is interesting to read how they fought with producers over storylines and character development until the shows end in 1974.
