| Cassie Sheridan is a reporter for a TV station in Washington D.C. She releases a key piece of information on network news that leads to a young woman committing suicide. The woman's mother sues the TV station for wrongful death. While the case works its way through court, Cassie is relegated to the station's least desirable assignment in Miami. Cassie's main job is to cover hurricanes and anything else that might have national interest. While there she stumbles upon a series of events that just might reveal that the woman was killed. The woman and two others were rape victims and the killer just might be in Florida. Two murders occur, a boy goes missing, and a hurricane is coming.
