Callie cuts herself. She does not do it to kill herself, but rather to take away the pain of life. Eventually, she find herself in Sea Pines, a residential treatment facility. She is in group therapy with girls with eating disorders and substance abuse issues, but no one else has self-mutilation problems. Until Amanda comes. Before Amanda came to Sea Pines, Callie did not talk in group therapy, and no one besides the staff knew why she was at Sea Pines.
Finally, Callie opens up in both group therapy and personal therapy. However, it all becomes too much soon, and she runs away. She returns, though, when she realizes that she really does want to help herself. | ||
