Book Review By Michael Jung
Alvin's Swap Shop by Clifford Hicks

Alvin Fernald has a knack for coming up with great schemes and falling into adventure. That's why when he starts a swap shop that allows his friends to trade their junk for other kids' oddities, none of his friends are surprised when he finds Pim, a young island boy, hiding in his shop. Pim is running from a gang of thieves who believe he possesses something very valuable. As Alvin, his best friend Shoie, and his sister Daphne try to discover what treasure Pim is carrying, they use the junk in the swap shop to set a trap for the thieves and make them sorry they ever messed with the Magnificent Brain of Alvin Fernald!
