Book Review By Michael Jung
Bat Summer by Sarah Withrow

Terrance's summer takes a strange turn when he becomes friends with Lucy, a thirteen-year-old girl who thinks she's a bat. The two have fun flying kites and playing, despite ridicule from Terrance's other friends. When Lucy runs away from home, however, Terrance finds her hiding in a cave near a ravine. To help her, Terrance finds himself compromising his morals by stealing and lying. As time passes, Terrance discovers the truth behind Lucy's bat identity.
