Falling Stars by Anita Mills

In 1814 Regency England, Katherine Winstead thinks she is too plain and poor to ever attract a husband. She's surprised at the marriage proposal of Count Alexi, a Russian count. But with his sister, Galena's, urging, Katherine accepts and goes to live with them in their vast mansion in Russia. Katherine soon discovers she was being used. Alexi and Galena only want her to produce a child and cover up the true relationship between them.

Katherine wants to return to England but needs the help of her brother's rakish friend, Bellamy, Viscount Townsend. Bell is hiding out in Russia after one too many sex scandals and is trying to reassess his dissolute lifestyle. He reluctantly agrees to help the pregnant Katherine flee across Russia.
