Book Review By L. Watson
Wild at Heart by Patricia Gaffney

Sydney Darrow is the daughter of a renowed anthropologist. A young widow, she arrives at her father's home where he is studying a man who appeared to have been raised by wolves. Locked up, he does not speak. His lonely gaze fascinates Sydney and she thinks more company would be good for him. With kindness and gentleness, she discovers he can talk and has a name, Michael. Friendship grows between Sydney and Michael as she educates him. Michael soon falls in love with Sydney.

After a trip to the zoo, Michael, knowing what it is like to be caged, decides to free the animals. Police are looking for him everywhere. Meanwhile, Michael's parents are discovered. Sydney must protect him until he is reunited with his family. But it breaks her heart knowing he will soon have a life without her.
