| Jesse Eagle, country music's hottest new star, stops in a poor mining town for some gas and finds a woman with the voice of an angel. Diamond Houston has just buried her father and when Jesse offers to take her to Nashville she jumps at the opportunity to fulfill her dreams of singing. Both Jesse and Diamond feel the immediate pull of attraction between them, but Diamond has been burned in the past and she has no intention of repeating the lesson.
Jesse doesn't know why Diamond doesn't trust him. He only knows that he wants her and that his feelings go far beyond mere lust.
