Snow Angel by Mary Balogh

Rosamund Hunter fought with her brother and set out on foot even though it was about to snow. An attempted rescue by Justin Halliday, the Earl of Wetherby, results in both of them being stranded together in a snowstorm. Rosamund, who was married to an old man, is now a young widow. She has no intention of marrying again, but when she looks at handsome Justin, she wonders what it would be like to lie in the arms of a young man. Justin was supposed to be meeting his mistress for one last fling before he went to propose to the young girl everyone expects him to marry. The snow has meant he will be without his mistress, but beautiful Rosamund is with him. They agree to a very brief affair.

Rosamund returns to her brother's house after the roads become passable. She tries to forget Justin as she helps her brother's family prepare for the extended visit of the man who is expected to propose to Annabelle, Rosamund's neice. That man turns out to be Justin. Rosamund and Justin try to pretend they are strangers but they learn that they are still strongly attracted to each other. But they cannot forget Annabelle, who is expecting to become Justin's wife yet looks longingly at Justin's friend, Joshua.
