Book Review By Alan J. Bishop
A Deadly Brew - Chronicles of Matthew Bartholomew 4 by Susanna Gregory

In the winter of 1353, the University city of Cambridge is cold, soaking and beset by outlaws. Three members of the University are killed by drinking poisoned wine and Doctor Bartholomew must find out how they were poisoned. Were they victims of a college conspiracy or the enimity of the townfolk? As he investigates, Matthew comes across bottles of poisoned wine, criminal activities and is attacked by a ruthless killer. Even his relatives and friends are implicated in what seems to be a combination of commercial greed and academic intrigue.
