Adam's Fall by Sandra Brown

For the past few years, Lilah Mason has watched her sister find love, get married, and have children, while she's been more than content to channel her energies into her career as a physical therapist.

But when Lilah takes on a demanding new case, her patient's life isn't the only one transformed. Her new patient, Adam, (a dear friend of her sisters and man she can't stand who fell and became very physically ill) challenges her methods and authority at every turn. Yet Lilah is determined to help him recover the life he's lost...while she is trying to battle a serious attraction.
At the beginning they can not stand each other, her demanding and him uncooperative. But they soon rely and trust each other. That is until Adam's girlfriend comes to visit him and that defiantly puts their feelings for each other in the back burner. But Adam soon realizes that his girlfriend is nothing like Lilah (strong, pretty, smart) and though they both deny it, throughout the book their attraction grows stronger than ever, day by day exactly the way Adam is growing stronger over his physical illness.
