This book stays focused on the life of a fifteen year old drug user. It spans about a year of her life in which she goes from extreme drug addict to attempted suicide to starting to recover. You never get her true name but she starts to hang out with the wrong crowd and gets involved in various types of drugs. She becomes addicted and even runs away to San Francisco, only to get homesick and come home. She tries to get clean after this but eventually relapses and joins her old friends. She eventually does regain her senses and starts to clean up, but her old group of friends try to get her to hang out with them again. She refuses and thats when they start to terrorize her. They drug her on purpose when she is not aware on numerous occassions. The final straw is when she flips out and harms herself and ends up in the hospital. After this she seems great. Her friends calmed down, she quit drugs and even gets a boyfriend. No body knows why she kept a diary of her everyday events. This diary chronicled her life, and untimately her death. | ||
