Convincing Alex by Nora Roberts

Alex Stanislaki thinks there is something different about Bess McNee, a woman he picks up for solicitation. He later finds out she is a writer for a soap opera and was doing research. He thinks she is annoying and flighty, but he catches himself falling in love with her.

Bess is immediately taken with Alex, and finds herself in love once again. The problem is that she has loved so many times before. After two broken engagements, Alex doesn't believe it when she tells him she loves him too.
