Daniel MacGregor was in a terrible car accident. His family gathers at the hospital, and his wife, Anna, begins to remember how they met.

Anna was a naive virgin who was studying to be a doctor. Daniel was a redheaded Scottish giant, who happened to be a self-made millionaire. Daniel is immediately attracted to Anna, and sets out to convince her to marry him. She eventually moves in with him, but Daniel isn't satisfied. He knows she loves him and he wants to marry her.

Anna does loves Daniel. She refuses to marry him until she gets her medical degree. She knows Daniel would rather she stay at home and be cared for, but that isn't what she wants. He finally pushes her too far when he proposes, and she flees back to her college and cuts herself off from the rest of the world. Daniel tries to live without her, but he can't, and comes to find her. Will he be able to convience her that she can have a career and anything else she wants, as long as she's with him?
