Amy must make some major decisions in book number 12 of the Heartland series. Heartland is a horse ranch run by Amy, her sister Lou, and their grandfather. They treat hurt and abused horses.
Storm is a dapple gray horse who was a gift to Amy from her father. He is the perfect show horse. Willow is a bay pony who was beaten while she was tied to a post. She is staying at Heartland so Amy can gain her trust and help overcome her fears. While at a horse show with Storm, Amy receives a call that Willow's leg is trapped and she won't let anyone near her. Amy rushes from the show to help the pony. This is when Amy realizes she must make some choices. Amy is torn between taking care of Heartland or riding the horse show circuit. She must decide what is important to her and what is best for Storm. | ||
