Night Shift by Nora Roberts

Cilla O'Roarke is a night DJ who is being stalked. At first she thinks the problem will go away, but when it doesn't her manager calls the police, and Boyd Fletcher and Althea Grayson are assigned to the case.

Boyd finds himself falling for Cilla, and takes it upon himself to see that she is watched and that she relaxes. He takes her to his mountain cabin and she realizes she is starting to fall in love with him.

The attempts against her get worse, and one night while she is at the station, the attacker comes and stabs Boyd, but he survives. Cilla visits him in the hospital, but then she leaves him alone, telling him to listen to her show that night. She accepts an earlier proposal on air, but does Boyd still want to marry her?
