| After Boyd Fletcher gets a promotion, Althea Grayson works on her own. When an old friend of Boyd's, Colt Nightshade, comes to town looking for a friend's missing daughter, Althea is assigned to work with the private investigator.
Sparks fly from the beginning, both from temper and from sexual tension. Colt and Althea spend a night making love on a plane. The next morning they get the plane fixed and continue searching for the cabin where the girl is being held. When the cabin is found, Thea goes undercover to try to get the girl out. She is almost shot when her real identity is discovered, but she manages to get away and Colt saves the young girl. Now that the job is done, Thea wonders if she'll ever see Colt again.
