| Zack Dawson, charter boat captain, lives in self-imposed
exile on Hilton Head Island. Since leaving the Marine Corp, Zack has been seeking peace of mind, searching for a lost Civil War blockade runner and looking for love in all the wrong places. History professor, Lisa Sheffield tenders her resignation intent on changing her life. Stumbling into a local island haunt, the Castaway, she meets Zack. Lisa and Zack are swept up in the search for The Paradise, a ship locals say went to the bottom with millions in contraband. The White House is also interested in the search for the Paradise. Further complicating matters are the renewed amorous advances of Zack's sexually unihibited ex-fiance, Karen Diesner. Lisa must root out Zack's true feelings as she unravels the mystery of the treasure, compete and deal with a sexually charged romantic adversary and cope with her own feelings, needs and vulnerabilities. | ||
